Why You Should Consider An Inpatient Behavioral Health Center

An Inpatient Behavioral Health Center is for anyone needing rehabilitation from and has medical needs that require round-the-clock nursing care and/or support. Though some inpatient health centers are part of a hospital system, there are also free-standing and independent facilities available as well. An Inpatient Behavioral Health Centers cost can vary depending on the services provided and the care or support needed. Inpatient treatment centers are intensive and provide residential treatment programs designed to treat serious addictions. Which is why you should consider an Inpatient Behavioral Health Center that is best suited for your wants, needs, and capacity required. Rehab centers have professionals on site that know first hand the pain and suffering that comes from poor mental health and/or active addiction. If you are experiencing severe behavioral problems and find yourself in an environment that is unsupportive, seeking an inpatient behavioral health center is necessary for recovery. Choosing which health center is best for your needs will be easier after doing some research and investigation of the options you have available.

Services, Programs, And Treatments Offered By An Inpatient Behavioral Health Center

A behavioral health center will provide clients with the accommodations, professional support, and programs needed for their recovery journey. And at exceptional centers, such as Omega Recovery in Austin, they understand just how important family involvement is crucial to lasting recovery. Family members can contact loved ones in an Inpatient Behavioral Health Center undergoing treatment to provide emotional support and encouragement, if wanted and needed. The different types of treatment and/or therapy offered at most, if not all, Inpatient Behavioral Health Centers are Individual Therapy, Family Therapy, Group Therapy, and Medication Management. Below they are outlined for further understanding, which is great for anyone considering an Inpatient Behavioral Health Center for treatment.

Individual Therapy: Individual counseling (sometimes called psychotherapy, talk therapy, or Individual Therapy Treatment) is a process through which clients work one-on-one with a trained mental health clinician in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. Individual Therapy gives anyone struggling with behavioral health a safe space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and concerns. Unlike couples, family, or group therapy, individual therapy focuses solely on you- which is why you should consider an Inpatient Behavioral Health Center for recovery. This allows for a deeper understanding of the issues and more time for developing coping strategies to help you handle difficult situations.

Family Therapy: Family therapy is a type of psychological counseling (psychotherapy) that can help family members improve communication and resolve conflicts. Family therapy is usually provided by a psychologist, clinical social worker or licensed therapist. The goal of the therapy is to help family members identify how specific behaviors affect others, learn new ways of relating to each other, resolve conflicts, and open lines of communication between all family members.

Group Therapy: Considered a form of psychotherapy in which a group of patients meet to describe and discuss their problems together under the supervision of a therapist. Group therapy involves one or more psychologists who lead a group of roughly five to 15 patients who typically meet for an hour or two each week. Some people attend individual therapy in addition to groups, while others participate in groups only. Groups can enhance social interactions, and model healthy behaviors and healthy attachments for clients. The group cohesiveness imparts a sense of safety, which is why you should consider an Inpatient Behavioral Health Center for added ease and support. Participants in Group Therapy  may be encouraged to own their feelings, learn from each other and develop better understanding of how they interact.

Medication Management: the process of overseeing the medications prescribed for a patient to ensure they are taken properly and achieving their planned, therapeutic outcome. Medication management can help reduce adverse reactions and reduce the risk of hospitalizations related to these errors by ensuring that your medications don’t interact, helping you learn when and how to take your specific medications, and identifying any substances to avoid while taking your medications. An important reason why you should consider an Inpatient Behavioral Health Center for support and assistance in successful recovery.

Choosing an Inpatient Behavioral Health Center allows experienced professionals to work with clients to help them manage their mental health symptoms. This is done by providing different forms of therapy, psychiatric consultation, evaluation, community support, and information on how to better manage their illness or disorder. Having the best possible environment and support is the biggest reason why you should consider an Inpatient Behavioral Health Center for your recovery journey. What life is lost in waiting, especially when there are so many behavioral health centers available today to aid those on a journey of recovery. Whether for yourself or a loved one, finding the help needed to live a Best Life is very important as soon as possible.

Why You Should Consider An Inpatient Behavioral Health Center Like Omega Recovery

At Omega Recovery we understand that every individual is unique and so will be their pathways to recovery. We believe that learning active and healthy routines can be the cornerstone to long lasting recovery. Our compassion for the individuals we serve is what has driven us to be leaders in the recovery industry and why you should consider an Inpatient Behavioral Health Center. Omega is more than just rehab; we are Real Life Treatment. Dr. Kardaras and our clinical team have created a new, better, more effective way for people to not only recover, but to stay recovered for the rest of their life. Oftentimes traditional treatment programs  offered by common behavioral health centers put the struggling individual in an artificial treatment bubble where it’s relatively easy to feel good. Inevitably, however, when that client leaves treatment, they are unprepared to deal with the stress of everyday life once home. At Omega Recovery’s Inpatient Behavioral Health Center, our clients receive 30 hrs of clinical treatment while living in a large, beautiful, secure home right in the community. Clients spend 5 days a week working with some of the best therapists in Austin. Where they attend life skills groups, receive peer recovery coaching, and personal fitness training all in a safe and secure setting.

Community Support That Works At An Inpatient Behavioral Health Center

There is a reason why you should consider an Inpatient Behavioral Health Center such as Omega Recovery- beneficial community support. In this “community integration” model, the clients get to experience life – going on a barbeque, going to a doctor’s appointment, going on a job interview– all with staff supervision and clinical staff that can help them process any and all the feelings and emotions that can so often arise in early recovery. The success rates at traditional rehabs are so low because they don’t adequately prepare a client for real life. At Omega Recovery, our clients are life-tested and battle ready to launch into their new happy and healthy lives. In fact, Omega Recovery’s treatment program has two key components: complete clinical programming and supervised housing support. Clients are transported to clinical programming every weekday to participate in a vast array of treatment modalities that have been proven to be effective in treating substance abuse and mental health issues. During a typical week in programming clients will participate in motivational interviewing (MI), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), mindfulness meditation, and relapse prevention. They will also have opportunities to participate in body movement therapies such as yoga and Qi Gong. Omega Recovery is unique in that it utilizes the beautiful landscapes and parks of Austin, Texas for Nature Immersion and Adventure Therapy. Nature immersion groups and therapeutic excursions, such as rock climbing, ropes courses, kayaking, and hiking can offer substantial reconnection opportunities for clients within. Additionally, all treatment program clients will be able to receive psychiatric support from Omega’s medical director, Dr. Loving, and his professional team. Where afternoons are spent participating in Active Behavioral Coaching amongst other forms of treatment for behavioral health. Another key reason why you should consider an Inpatient Behavioral Health Center for beneficial community support.
