What is the 5-Day Intensive Outpatient Program?

(IOP 5)

Omega Recovery’s 5-Day Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP 5) is the second step in our mandatory three-phase treatment model. Every client begins their journey in PHP and then steps down into IOP 5 as they stabilize emotionally, rebuild structure, and strengthen motivations for recovery.

IOP 5 provides clinically robust care similar to PHP but with more flexibility, making it ideal for individuals who still need consistent therapeutic support while slowly reintegrating into daily responsibilities. This level of care is designed for people working through substance use disorders, mental health conditions, and tech addiction, offering strong accountability and an empowering recovery community.

At Omega Recovery in Austin, TX, clients in the 5-Day IOP receive structured weekly programming while rebuilding healthy routines and reconnecting with life outside treatment.

Phase 2: Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) – 5 Days/Week

Phase 2 helps clients transition back into daily life with increasing independence. Clients attend three hours of clinical programming per day, leaving more space for reconnecting with family, community, work, or school.

Programming focuses on:

  • Personal Accountability
  • Finding purpose
  • Trauma recovery and healing
  • Life and interpersonal skills
  • Building Community

During this phase, clients receive support in managing the demands of returning to work or exploring new vocational opportunities. Based on progress, therapists may recommend continuing or deepening individual therapeutic work.
