Nature immersion therapy is a practice that uses sensory engagement with the natural world to improve mental and physical well-being, drawing from principles like Japanese shinrin-yoku (forest bathing) and ecotherapy. It involves guided or self-directed activities in nature to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, decrease anxiety and depression, and increase relaxation and overall quality of life. Activities can range from walking in a park and forest bathing to grounding by touching the earth, mindful observation, and therapeutic gardening.
